The new industrial vision of current era; 4th industry revolution is in progress. So, what does the 4th industry revolution (also named as Industry 4.0) mean? What are the advantages or challenges of it? What kind of effects is Industry 4.0 going to have, on the sector?
Industry 4.0 is a German Government project, which promotes computerization of conventional production industry and brings high technology into industry. *The main purpose of the new industry is characterization of integration of business partners within concord, resource efficiency and ergonomy on for both customer and business – value process.*
In the most general sense, Industry 4.0 means the 4th industrial revolution. The first industrial revolution was based on water and steam powered production plants, the second was supported by electrical energy. And the with 3rd industrial revolution, electrical energy and computer began to be used commonly.

It is firstly used at the Hannover Messe in 2011. In October 2012 the Working Group, headed by Robert Bosch GmbH and Kagermann, presented a set of Industry 4.0 implementation recommendations to the German federal government. On 8 April 2013 at the Hannover Messe, the final report of the Working Group Industry 4.0 was presented.
Industry 4.0 in Time
This technology is based on internet network and cyber-physical systems. According to experts, integration of the industrial revolution will have been accomplished and the technology will be on use in 10 or 20 years.

In USA, an initiative named Smart Production Leadership Coalition studies on future of production. This coalition comprises of manufacturers, suppliers, technology firms, non-profit organization, consortium production, universities, government agencies and labs. The main purposes of the Coalition are; creating approaches for adopting production intelligence, carrying out research and development activities for mutual substructure, providing shareholder in production, creating conduct and advocate groups.

As one of the companies that have already embarked on Industry 4.0 vision, Siemens Industry asses the all value chain and carry out operations to integrate all manufacture processes with automation technologies and wireless communication and information integration.

Modern information and communication technologies such as Cyber-Physical Systems, Cloud Computing, will be integrated with manufacture systems for increasing productivity, quality and flexibility levels and as a result, they will provide remarkable advantages in competitive environment.
1-) There is lack of knowledge and skill to accelerate the proceeding towards the new industrial revolution. With the many years of experience, big German Companies like Siemen and Bosch is the firms, which take the lead in this process. They will be example of the companies that keep up with the Industry 4.0 age in short period, by integrating the newest technologies with their experience.
2-) Industry 4.0 means that the labor demand would decrease.
3-) The firms that have kept up with the 3rd Industrial Revolution, seem to be reluctant to the new revolution.
